Striping Tape Manicure

♥♥♥

Hello my dears, how is everyone doing?
Yesterday was the BIG Doctor Who 50th Anniversary episode, and I'm just watching it now. But I've been excited about it all week, and had butterflies on my belly all week too. But I'm awful when it comes to having inspiration lol So no DW nail art, sorry.
I used Illamasqua Faux Pas and Zoya Storm, plus some striping tape.
I did take a picture of my hand holding my iPhone with my pretty DW case, which I love.

It's a simple manicure, but I've been wanting to do it for a while now :)

Itsy Bitsy Spider....

♥♥♥

Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Because October is Halloween month I was up for something a bit more halloweeny. So this is what I came up with, super simple, but I love.
Radium was a great choice, in my opinion, because it has kind of a weird look to it.
Update: I wrote this a couple of weeks ago, so I'm sorry for the late Halloween post!

Fuschia & Holo

♥♥♥

Before I get to my nails I'd like to talk about something quite different.
I absolutely LOVE to cook, and play with new and more difficult recipes, including amerecian ones (most of the time I don't have all the ingredients and I have to make it myself). A while back I saw a recipe that required a mixer, it was a cappuccino I think, and being the coffee lover that I am I just had to do it. I saw it required a mixer, I used to have one of the portable ones, but it was old, and it has been broken for years... Today me and my mom were looking a website with a ton of different things, awesome things, not to mentions a lot of sales. We both LOVE kitchen related things, and we needed new containers to put our kitchen things (sugar, flour, rice, food coloring, etc...) in, and I also wanted a box to put the polishes I ALWAYS keep outside my helmer, various top coats and base coats, cuticle oils and acetone, and I wanted a second box, a big one, to put Nahla's toys in, so the house would be less messy. I was looking through it and I found out they actually had some kitchen appliances and others in their website. I saw a "Mixer" section, I immediately opened it and told my mom I needed one, she simply looked at me and said: "I have one." JUST LIKE THAT! I have told her before, and just now she shows it to me. I had a good laugh, she sowed it to me, and now I have a new toy lol I made some hot cocoa and used it to mix it all, I only heated the milk, I put the rest when I was about to use the mixer. I have NEVER had a hot cocoa that tasted that good, and it was SO creamy. I'M NEVER LETTING IT GO ♥
Ignore my enthusiasm, I'm just really into cooking :)
Now to my nails. Rio's weather has been kinda crazy lately. It's winter, but the days are super sunny and VERY VERY hot, but when the sun starts to set it gets really cold, the temperature drops out of nowhere. Because it's so sunny during the day I've been enjoying wearing holos. I started with Stance, a gorgeous "fuschia violet", as described on the Illamasqua website. I'm really glad they have the description cause I wouldn't know how to call it, and I was about to call it a purple lol
Stance's formula was fantastic, like all my other Illamasquas. About Hefest, I recently found out, after applying a bit too much on my nails, that you need to apply just a little bit, barely nothing, otherwise it will be way to silvery.
Stance is not very bright, is more on the dark side, so to me it's great for winter, a Brazilian winter anyways hahah But because it's so damn sunny during the day I had to put Hefesto on.
*Last three pictures are under the sun!*

Stance is super bight when it's under the sun! :)

Nerdy Bunny And A Heart, Nail Art (VERY proud ♥)

♥♥

I'M VERY PROUD XOXO
LOL I'm sorry, but I really am. But before we get to that, how is everyone doing?
When I was searching for easy and cute nail arts on google I found this cute mani, that had this cute bunny and a cute heart, I changed the position of the designs, and it doesn't look nearly as good as the original one, and I have no inspiration to create my own design, I'm sorry :'(
I'm also putting a picture of the two nail art brushes I used, I found out, after MANY failed attempts, that the long brush is VERY useful and great and easy to use.
The polishes are on the FAQ section.

Risquè Preto Fosco - 1 coat
Colorama Banana - 2 coat

EDK Morgana (Personalized ; Brazilian Indie)

♥♥

I asked Kelly, from EDK to add hearts to my Morgana polish purchase, which is why I put the 'personalized' in the post name and why my bottle doesn't come with a name.
Morgana is already a beautiful polish, but the hearts make it even better.
The purplish look on Force make it the perfect polish to layer it over.
Little update, Kelly was very sweet to accept putting the hearts, and it was very thoughtful of her ♥

Dots And A Heart

Hey loves ♥

PLEASE, pay attention to every little flaw in this mani. Not really, I'm being sarcastic, and I'm pissed!
I absolutely LOVE the way this mani looks, but like the previous post, my camera shows every single flaw!
I knew the heart wasn't really perfect, not by a long shot, but I still love it. I also love the dots I made, and the combo looks great. BUT as usual, my damn top coat cause a billion bubbles, again. And my pictures show it all.
To be honest, took me a long time to make this mani, not because it takes time, but because I couldn't decide what I wanted, I tried a lot of things, including some other nail arts, but I just wasn't happy. I tried this butterfly thing, with the same colors I'm using for this one, and when I was remaking my butterfly, cause the top coat messed it up, I made a heart, for the wings, but I decided to keep the heart, instead of making the butterfly.
I used Illamasqua Jo'Mina (♥), China Glaze For Audrey, Colorama Pétala Branca and Risquè Preto Fosco.
Because I don't have a dotting tool I used a hair clip thing, just click here to see how it looks. And it works great, so if you don't have a dotting tool that's an idea. And for the heart I used a brush and this tiny dotting tool, I know I said I didn't have any, but I bought this set of nail art brushes, and it comes with a tiny dotting tool. I made a black heart first, and then I filled it with Jo'Mina, and later I made a small line in the heat, with the tiny dotting tool.
BTW here goes a little tip, make the heart with the color you want, and then make the black line around it, I'll try that next time!
