Bright Blue Sky

♥♥♥

This polish is an old one, I bought it back in 2011 I think. I've worn it a few times, but every time it would be thick, and gooey and I'd have to use 2 coats, one was not enough. This time I only needed one coat, and it was easy to apply, not gooey at all!
Blueberry Ice Cream is a greaaat color, such a beautiful blue. It's bright and looks just like the sky on a sunny day. The name is Blueberry Ice Cream, which I don't get, at all. Blueberry is not really bright blue, is more of a blurple (blue/purple), and when you make blueberry cupcake it turns PURPLE. So no, I don't get the name, but I love the polish!

Btw I wore it 3 weeks ago:)

Colorama Rock And New Lamp ♥

♥♥♥

If you follow me on facebook, you already know I bought a new lamp. My old one was falling apart, no joke. It was old, 6 years I think. I went to the light store to buy a new bulb for my lava lamp, which I couldn't because it's a US model, and it's totally different from the Brazilian one, but there's a store nearby, which I'll be going soon. While I was at the store, I asked about the desk lamps, I already had one in mind, different from my old one, I ended up getting it cause it was cheap and looks good. I got home, put a bulb on it, turned it on and almost blinded myself. It's very very good, and I'm supper happy with it.!! It looks like this one but it's white, and I'm using a different bulb, a better one.
To my nails, this morning I painted my nails with a simple black polish, plain black, but Nahla messed it up lol I went out for lunch with friends today, left the house at 11AM, didn't get home until 6, and ate from 1PM till 4PM, we ate Japanese food, and we ate a LOT! When I got home I had to change my polish, I was determined to wear Carbono, also from Colorama, but I came across Rock, and decided that was i!!
Rock is madly pigmented, and it's a one coater, but I used two SUPER thin coats, 2 were needed. Rock is a black polish with this greenish metallic shimmer, GORGEOUS. It's super shinny, but I needed it to dry extra fast, so as usual, I added Seche Vite.
I wanted to post 6 pictures, including macro shot, couldn't pick just 5 pictures, picked 7, and with macro plus an almost macro I ended up with 9!!!

The green metallic shimmer makes it so incredible pretty ♥

Revlon Classy ♥

♥♥♥

I have another quick post for you today. I woke up a couple of hours ago, and I just needed to change my polish, I already had SG on for 4 days.. I looked through my stash, and picked Classy right away. For some reason I haven't worn it before, and I don't know why!!! This polish is great, the formula was fantastic, pigmentation was also fabulous. I was surprised to find out that I could have gotten away with only 1 coat, but decided to go with two anyways.

I promise you this is color accurate, that's exactly how I see it. I've seen a LOT of pictures online, but all the pictures are so pale, the color is not nearly as pretty on the online pictures as it is in person.

Fuschia & Holo

♥♥♥

Before I get to my nails I'd like to talk about something quite different.
I absolutely LOVE to cook, and play with new and more difficult recipes, including amerecian ones (most of the time I don't have all the ingredients and I have to make it myself). A while back I saw a recipe that required a mixer, it was a cappuccino I think, and being the coffee lover that I am I just had to do it. I saw it required a mixer, I used to have one of the portable ones, but it was old, and it has been broken for years... Today me and my mom were looking a website with a ton of different things, awesome things, not to mentions a lot of sales. We both LOVE kitchen related things, and we needed new containers to put our kitchen things (sugar, flour, rice, food coloring, etc...) in, and I also wanted a box to put the polishes I ALWAYS keep outside my helmer, various top coats and base coats, cuticle oils and acetone, and I wanted a second box, a big one, to put Nahla's toys in, so the house would be less messy. I was looking through it and I found out they actually had some kitchen appliances and others in their website. I saw a "Mixer" section, I immediately opened it and told my mom I needed one, she simply looked at me and said: "I have one." JUST LIKE THAT! I have told her before, and just now she shows it to me. I had a good laugh, she sowed it to me, and now I have a new toy lol I made some hot cocoa and used it to mix it all, I only heated the milk, I put the rest when I was about to use the mixer. I have NEVER had a hot cocoa that tasted that good, and it was SO creamy. I'M NEVER LETTING IT GO ♥
Ignore my enthusiasm, I'm just really into cooking :)
Now to my nails. Rio's weather has been kinda crazy lately. It's winter, but the days are super sunny and VERY VERY hot, but when the sun starts to set it gets really cold, the temperature drops out of nowhere. Because it's so sunny during the day I've been enjoying wearing holos. I started with Stance, a gorgeous "fuschia violet", as described on the Illamasqua website. I'm really glad they have the description cause I wouldn't know how to call it, and I was about to call it a purple lol
Stance's formula was fantastic, like all my other Illamasquas. About Hefest, I recently found out, after applying a bit too much on my nails, that you need to apply just a little bit, barely nothing, otherwise it will be way to silvery.
Stance is not very bright, is more on the dark side, so to me it's great for winter, a Brazilian winter anyways hahah But because it's so damn sunny during the day I had to put Hefesto on.
*Last three pictures are under the sun!*

Stance is super bight when it's under the sun! :)

I Spot A Peacock..

♥♥♥

... On my nails! Because my stash has grown so much I had to start putting my polishes on the helmer that was not supposed to be used for nail polish. I hadn't organized the second helmer until last night, and I was decided to wear EDK Peacock Feathers, but what was I gonna do with my nails? Since I got my Seche Vite yesterday the amount of things I can do with my nails are endless! I decided to do a super simple skittlette with two other polishes. Impala released a collection a while ago called Disco, and it has some incredible polishes, and I really like that collection, I picked two, a nude polish and a petroleum green, which goes great with the glitter on Peacock Feathers.
Impala Azul Petróleo is a jelly and it stains, so I applied one coat of Colorama Espuma, a jelly that's supposed to be used for jelly sandwiches, before I started applying Azul Pavão.

I absolutely LOVE the way this skittlette turned out!

Love Me Some Plum.

♥♥♥

Not really! LOL The weather in Rio has been quite cold, we're used to have the temperature around 37ºC, but lately it's been around 14ºC-22ºC. Very cold during the night, but during the day the weather is good, feels good, not too cold nor too hot, but today is very cool, a bit cold, but nothing too bad.
I was in the mood for a good dark polish, and I was thinking about Carbono from Colorama, but decided to go with Plaza Plumberry from NYC. PP has a deep and dark plum color, very pretty. Formula was a dream, so SO smooth and easy to apply.

I got this beauty in a swap almost 2 years ago, and I regret not wearing it before!!

Nails Inc - Baker Street (PROPER SWATCHES AND COLOR ACCURATE)

♥♥♥

Hello there! Sorry for the lack of posts, but it's super cold here in Rio, and I feel like staying in bed all day, and not painting my nails at all!
Yesterday I went out to watch "Man Of Steel", and I wanted to do something Superman related, but I failed miserably, and I ended up with skittles nails, with red, yellow and blue. When I got home last night I made two accent nails with striping tape, looked great, and when I took the pictures I saw that Baker Street's color was accurate, so I simply swatched BS on all my nails and took the pictures. I also decided to post this before the striping nails.
The pictures really are color accurate, I'm so happy ♥

This is my favorite blue ever, hope you enjoy it!
